A world away from where I began, I connected with my purpose. While helping to educate others, I realized we are never done learning ourselves.
Sitting at the edge of the classroom in Bangalore, India, I thought about where God has led me, still in awe that I was really there. The air was warm and thick around me as I watched a room full of about 50 children participating in a Good News Club. I have been a member of the Child Evangelism Fellowship since 1990.
Then in 2017, I became a member of their international board of directors. The board oversees the work across the globe.
I am a man of faith. When I was 9 years old, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. Through my parents and the Word, I learned about Christianity and what it means to be a Christian. They acted the same way Monday through Saturday that they did on Sundays, always staying consistent with who they were and living according to the scripture. I never even heard them say one cross word to each other!
My family owned a dairy farm when I was a child. Work was a daily part of our life. Between my brothers, father, cousins, and uncle, we ran the farm ourselves. I learned a solid work ethic as a young man with workdays starting at 4:15 in the morning. Though I planned on continuing to build my family’s farming legacy, I also had an interest in real estate, which my father encouraged me to follow. After starting out as a real estate investor, I became a licensed REALTOR® in 1986. I wanted to learn more about the industry as a whole, and that quickly snowballed into helping others as a full-time agent.
I married my wife, Tondra, shortly after starting in real estate, and we had three children. Through the years, we have faced many challenges together but feel amazingly blessed. From my children, who are doing wonders through their ministry work, to my grandchildren, wife, and the people I work with – everyone in my life adds to it and makes me look even better than my best self. However, when the housing market crashed, it put me to the test.

My faith is at the core of who I am. I raised my children in church and could not be prouder of the work they are doing today all over the world. Each one is involved with the ministry in their own way, sharing eternity and what it means with everyone they can. I am passionate about my ministry work because I feel strongly about the ministry of my church. Education has always been quintessential to me; it was the whole reason I got into real estate!
At some point, I realized with any singular hurdle I may be facing, there is something more important at work. God is trying to give me a better perspective by taking me outside my comfort zone. Through recognizing that, I hold on to gratitude and continue learning.
As a REALTOR®, my favorite part is getting to know my clients and helping them with their real estate needs.
I have a tremendous amount of real estate experience collected over decades spent in the industry. In that time, I have seen up markets, down markets, and every kind in between. Through countless obstacles, challenging scenarios and more, I have seen most things one can encounter in a real estate transaction. I have lived here all my life and know the communities and neighborhoods thoroughly.
My team and I try to be the point of difference for our clients, separating ourselves from everyone else out there with our expert knowledge and experience in the field. While I do not have a magic wand to instantly deliver results, I can provide you with the best way to move toward your goals based on my lived experience. Whether that means the best offer or best property, I know where to look, how to navigate those last-minute roadblocks, and how get to the other side. I have experience in all types of real estate from residential to industrial. Once the transaction is closed, I will continue serving your success as your lifelong REALTOR®.
Sincerely,
Lane Thrush
